Weekly update, 3rd January

A very happy new year to you all! I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and a bit of down time to recharge the batteries. Now the tinsel is packed away, the chocolates are just about finished and Doctor Who is over for another few months, we're back to normal and the conservation groups are back too: Thursday, Friday and Saturday are all systems a go this week.

Have a lovely week,

Hannah
Volunteering Development Manager

What the volunteers have been up to:

Thurday Group (Abingdon), 21st December

For the last session before Christmas the team headed over to Thrupp Lake to do a few different tasks including bringing in the tern rafts, coppicing some willow and making a start on a willow screen where the bird hide used to be. The next session is 4th January.

Coming up...

Stick to that New Year's resolution!

If you're looking to burn off some of those Christmas calories without needing to sign up to a gym membership or fad diet then we highly recommend joining our conservation work parties - who needs that nonsense when you can get out onto our beautiful nature reserves instead?! We have regular sessions on Thursdays in Abingdon and Fridays in Little Wittenham, plus monthly meetings on the first Saturday in Abingdon and second Sunday in Little Wittenham. Get in touch to find out more.
